20 Years of Skateboarding
in South Central LA

From pioneering skate shop to community cornerstone — Warning Skate Shop has been serving Los Angeles skaters since 2005, bringing quality gear, expert knowledge, and authentic skateboarding culture to South Central and beyond.

Our Story

In May 2005, Warning Skate Shop opened its doors at 8228 S Central Ave, becoming the first dedicated skate shop in South Central Los Angeles. What started with modest expectations and low foot traffic has grown into a beloved institution that has served the LA skateboarding community for nearly two decades.

As an independently owned, family-operated business, we've stayed true to our grassroots mission: providing quality skateboard products, honest advice, and a welcoming space for skaters of all backgrounds and skill levels.

In 2008, we expanded with a second location near USC at 2676 S Vermont Ave, extending our reach to serve college students and the University Park community. Through the years, we've weathered challenges, celebrated milestones, and remained committed to the skaters who walk through our doors.
